Preparing chicken biryani at home is a very enjoyable moment and feels like a party is going on; Kids and others grab it with great zeal and enthusiasm. But one thing to take care of is that chicken is hefty, hence, take it in limited quantities.

Chicken biryani is a pleasure for any type of function, like a wedding, a reception, a birthday, etc.; if you prepare it at your house, all the visitors will enjoy eating it. Many types of spices and herbs are put in it; it has a very different taste. There are many types of nutrients in chicken; In 100 g of chicken, 30 different nutrients can be found. Chicken carries fat-soluble protein, which is very good for skinny people.

  1. How to prepare chicken biryani
    1. Wash the rice thoroughly and keep it for 15 minutes.
    2. Cut the chicken into small equal size pieces.
    3. Now for marinating in a bowl add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, a pinch of turmeric, green chilli, curd, lemon juice, red chilli, and garam masala, and mix well. 
    4. Now put the chicken in it and apply the paste on all sides. Keep it in the refrigerator for approximately 1 hour for soaking.
    5. Place the waxed onions on a plate, add corn flour on top, and mix well.
    6. Now heat oil in a pan to fry the onions, when the oil becomes hot, fry the onions in it.
    7. Tie all the standing spices in a cloth and make a pot, now heat water in a big vessel put rice in it, and put some salt and spices in the pot.
    8. Let it cook for 5 to 10 minutes, then drain the extra water. Do not cook it too much; stop it only when the grain becomes slightly hard.
    9. Now heat ghee in a pan, add cumin, and ginger garlic paste, and fry it, now add raw onion and fry it for 1-2 minutes.
    10. Now put carrot capsicum in it and cook for 1-2 minutes. Then add red chili turmeric to it.
    11. Put salt and marinated chicken in it and cook for 5-10 minutes. At the end add fresh cream, finely chopped coriander, and mint, and let it cool. Add some water if you are getting thick.
    12. Now mix saffron in milk and keep it aside.
    13. Now take a thick bottom utensil, put a layer of chicken masala in it, and add fried onions, saffron milk, and 1 tsp oil on it. Now place a layer of rice over it.
    14. Make 1-2 more such layers.
    15. Now cover the utensil with foil or a clean cloth from above. 16. Put the cork on top in a proper manner. 
    16. Now heat a thick griddle and place this utensil on it.
    17. Let it cook on a medium flame for 15 to 20 minutes; this method is called Dum Dena. The more you bake it on low flame, the more its taste will be increased. You can also keep it in the microwave and cover it for 10-15 minutes.
    18. Switch off the gas, let it remain covered for some time, then open it, put a few drops of rose water on top, and serve hot.
    19. Serve biryani along with Vegetable raita. To make it, churn the curd well, now add finely chopped cucumber, onion, tomato, and chili, add salt on top, and garnish with green coriander at the end.

Note

If you do not eat chicken, you can add many vegetables like potatoes, cabbage, carrots, and capsicum instead of it the biryani. Marinate it instead of chicken.

In past times, when there was no gas we have, it was only prepared slowly on the stove, due to which its taste was awesome. Now it is prepared on a gas stove, hence the taste is not the same but still better. The dum dena method is very important in biryani. It takes time to prepare chicken biryani, but it is very tasty to eat. Whenever you think of preparing chicken biryani, make it after taking time, only then you can give all the flavors well in it.
